Software Center contains all relevant information about the demo software, upgrades, updates, languages, tools and drivers as well as installation instructions. It is recommended to always keep the LOGO! Soft Comfort software up to date with the latest Upgrades/Updates. Soft Comfort V7.1.5 supports Mac OS X 10.5 with J2SE 1.6.0. Maybe a manually installation of the USB cable driver will help. The driver on the LOGO! Soft Comfort DVD will not help. So go to the web page of Silicon Labs and try to find a driver for your Mac OS x. See also the Readme on the LSC DVD in folder USB driver.
An Update improves the software within the same version e.g. from V6.0.17 to V6.1.12 via a Service Pack (SP). It is possible to update directly from Internet within LOGO! Soft Comfort or via downloading and installing the required files.
An Upgrade improves the software to a higher version, e.g. from V4 to V8.
This can be done via the internet directly within LOGO! Soft Comfort or downloading and installing the required files or purchasing the upgrade on a CD.
PREREQUISITE: A fully functional, original, licensed version of LOGO! Soft Comfort must already be installed.

Via LOGO! CMR, the clock time of the LOGO! 8 can be synchronized with an accessible NTP server, a GPS or a mobile wireless signal

In this opportunity we will download and install LOGO! Soft Confort v8.2 in its DEMO version, is the programming software for Logic LOGO! Modules, in previous tutorials we made the revision of a LOGO! 12/24 RCE reference 6ED1052-1MD00-0BA8
Something interesting is that these devices are programmed from a different platform than SIEMENS TIA PORTAL, the programming environment for PLC’S and HMI from Siemens.

We select the platform (Operating System), in this case I will install it on a Windows with 32 bits, in next tutorials I will try on Linux.
Open the executable and install, install the USB Drivers for other versions of LOGO! , in our case it is an Ethernet version.

Conclusions

Trials in tainted space void juggernaut. This software allows to program with logic of control, but also allows to realize configurations such as the web server, and configurations like client / server Modbus TCP, S7Comm communication using TSAP client / server mode.
